I'll be back to doing my regular FFF's and FOTDs very soon, just been a tad busy lately! Since Ramadan has been over I've been busy with loads of weddings and have come home absolutely knackered from some of them, so have been unable to blog too (booo!)

I thought I'd share a few of the looks from two of the bookings to give some inspiration for outfits/wedding looks or if you just want to have a look at different looks to what I've already done.

#1 - Bridesmaids party makeup

Bridesmaid 1:
Royal blue and hot pink outfit with antique gold threadwork.

Bridesmaid 2:
The ever popular dress colour combination of purple and green but with red too. Threadwork was gold and silver.

#2 - Bride S

Bride S required two days of makeup and hair, the first day being the traditional red Indian outfit and the next day in a blue & green outfit. She didn't want very heavy makeup at all particularly for the red outfit day, so I did a subtle gold to red with a bit of brown in the crease and made sure the lashes gave maximum impact!
My cousin Farah - who does the hair in our team - did curls to the side for the first day and a nice huge bun with plait for the second day. She did also do the mehndi (henna) for the bride, pictures will be uploaded soon to our Safrah facebook page!
I personally preferred Day 2 as there was more colour involved (obviously!) and I have a thing for great big buns!

I wish I could show all the looks I've done recently but I don't always get the time to take pictures unfortunately, particularly when there's a big group booking and everyone's in a rush to get ready!

Monday Makeover

Hello my lovelies!

Just thought I'd post a few clients' party/bridesmaids hair and makeup done with my cousin Farah who does the hair for Safrah.

Frooti shoots

I didn't get time to do a makeup look this week as I've been so busy with bookings and events so apologies for that!
However, the last photoshoot I did before I went on holiday consisted of an Asian/Arabian theme and I've chosen my favourites out of a fair few, so here they are:

I also did a "Frooti" themed shoot too which is a bit different as I wanted to do an editorial style theme with high colour; I haven't yet received all the pictures for yet but here are two teasers:

Monday Makeover

Apologies for the lack of FFF on Friday, I've been so busy of late with bookings and events!

This weekend I was busy with a bridal trial and bridesmaids' makeup, so I thought I'd share some of the makeup looks in this post to inspire you for any similar coloured outfits you may have!

First up, a black and silver smokey look:

Next was a turquoise/teal and purple look to match the colours of the outfit:

The third bridesmaid's outfit was the very popular gold-purple-green/turquoise colours:

And last but not least, a burgundy-purple look to match the outfit again:

My cousin was there to do the hair and this was my most favourite hairstyle from the day:

FFF: Purple-Green-Gold makeup look

I decided to do a makeup look of a very popular Asian dress colour combination - gold, green & purple. So many clients have this colour combination with their dresses and I tend to do the same/similar thing for each of them, changing the colour of the gold, green or purple to match their outfit.

> NYX JEP in Milk

> Sedona Lace 120 palette (2nd edition)

> MAC fluidline in Blacktrack

> UD 24/7 eye pencil in Covet

> Daniel Sandler Jumbo Jet mascara

> Khuraira ACC in Light

> MAC Studio Finish concealer - NC35

Face:

> UD Tinted Moisturiser in Bodyguard

> UD Baked Bronzer in Toasted

Lips:

> UD lipliner in Wicked

> MAC lipstick in Spitfire

After priming the eye with UDPP & NYX JEP in Milk I applied a shimmery gold colour from the palette to the inner corners of the eyes and a purple to the end of the eyelid. A matte brown shadow was used in the crease buffing it upwards slightly, followed by a peachy-pink matte colour on the brow bone, blending it down the matte brown.

I used MAC fluidline in Blacktrack for the topliner and UD Covet liner for the bottom liner.

Daniel Sandler Jumbo Jet mascara was used on top and bottom lashes followed by matte brown and black eyeshadows from the Sedona Lace palette for the brows; Khuraira & MAC concealers were then used under the eye:

For the rest of the face I used UD tinted moisturiser in Bodyguard and UD bronzer in Toasted along the cheekbones; for the lips I used UD Wicked lipliner and MAC Spitfire lipstick:

I've posted previous examples of this look on clients here and here, it's the most flattering for people who want a pop of colour but don't want to be too OTT!

Recent shoots

To make up for the lack of posts lately, I've decided to double post today haha!

Before I go on holiday I'd like to share some of my recent shots from photoshoots I've done, so I hope you like!

These pics were from an Asian Bridal shoot with two models, one Eastern European, Alexandra (to change it up) and one Asian looking model too (Leanna). It was a group shoot with four photographers: Nav, Andy, Izabella & Anne.

The first picture was made to share so feel to do so on facebook, twitter etc! ;)

 

Here are my favourite images from a jewellery shoot I did with a stylist's jewellery range Cuff and Neck:

FFF: Light-Green smokey makeup look

This weeks FFF was another request, for a light green bridesmaid dress:

I also had another clothing item to do (below) and thought this look could work for that too, maybe changing the bottom liner to turquoise or choosing a more vibrant light-blue/turquoise eyeshadow instead of Flipside.

After priming the eye with UDPP & NYX JEP in Milk I applied UD Uzi eyeshadow (silvery shadow with silver glitter!) to the inner corners of the eyes and Flipside to the middle of the eyelid. Pistol from Naked2 was used in the crease and outer corner of the eyes, buffing it upwards slightly, followed by Honeycomb (Sleek Au Naturel palette) on the brow bone, blending down into Pistol. I also applied a bit of Blackout to the outer corner of the eye to intensify the smokiness.

UD 24/7 eye pencil in Uzi was added to the lower lash line followed by Zero on the inner eye. Topliner was done with UD 24/7 liquid liner in Perversion and set with a liner brush and Blackout eyeshadow. 

Daniel Sandler mascara was wiggled into the lashes followed by Sleek's Bark & Noir from the Au Naturel palette for the brows; Khuraira & MAC concealers were used under the eye:

For the rest of the face I used UD cream to powder foundation in Supernove and Kiko tangerine palette - peachy colour on the cheeks and the bronzer along the cheekbones; for the lips I used MAC Crosswires lipstick:

FFF: Red-Teal makeup look

This weeks FFF is inspired by an item of clothing I was sent to do a makeup look for. I do have a couple outfits to match too so those will be my inspiration for the next couple looks.. I specifically chose this one for this week though so I could use the Illamasqua Liable lipstick which you can read about in the last post (here).

So here's the clothing:

After priming the eye with UDPP & NYX JEP in Milk I applied a bit of the Tarte beige shimmer to the inner corner of the eyelid, followed by Sleek Aquamarine to the rest of the lid. Midnight Garden was applied to the outer corner, whilst the Tarte matte brown was added to the crease and blended upwards. I decided to use a shimmery highlight for this look on the brow bone as it's for a wedding/party makeup. The Tarte Bronze shimmer was then used with a wet liner brush for the lower lashline.

I then used MAC Fluidline to line the whole eye (including the inner eye), creating a slight cats eye on the inner corner.

Daniel Sandler mascara was used on the lashes, then the brows were filled with Sleek's Bark & Noir from the Au Naturel palette and concealed under the eyes to finish:

For the rest of the face I used Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in 55 and powdered down with UD Razorsharp powder; for the cheeks I used a shimmery bronzer- UD Baked and for the lips I first used Illamasqua lipstick in Liable:

I then used the zany coloured Apocalips lipstick by Illamasqua too.. I actually prefer the texture better than the Liable lipstick; although both are matte, Apocalips feels slightly creamier (and I'm sure it's more scented which I love!) It does however look dryer than Liable.. not sure if that's because of the colour though.

I actually quite like this lipstick! Not sure if I'd wear it out quite yet but it's defo one I'd use in an artistic photoshoot.
