Hey guys!
This week I thought I'd get down to doing a smokey look as it's been a while..  and thought I'd jazz it up by using my newest lenses (Solotica Hidrocor Avela) and an Arabic style eyeliner. I uploaded a phone camera pic on Instagram (below) after a friend forced me to (I tend to keep looks under wraps until Friday's) but the response was lovely so I'm glad I did post it raw from my phone!

Sunday Swatches: Illamasqua Dusk Collection

Following my last post featuring my Eid Makeup Look which used the new Illamasqua collection, it's only right I follow up with a review and swatches post to show you just how awesome this collection is!

Dusk Collection (minus the Illustrator Pen)

Dusk is inspired by the middle east and the art of skin sculpting and contouring; I love how the shades in this collection compliment medium/warmer skintones perfectly, (but can equally be worn by fairer and deeper tones too). 

My first impressions were of course surprise and adoration; firstly at the wearability of this collection for my own skintone and secondly the new products I'd never seen before by Illamasqua - the Slick Sticks and the Sculpting Palette. I'm used to their colouring pencils and the quad palettes so this was new territory for me and I couldn't wait to dig in.

FFF: Too Faced Chocolate Makeup Look

My last post featuring the Too Faced Bronzers spurred me on to do a makeup look, so I thought I would include some of my newest acquisitions in this look including two of the bronzers from the previous post and a Make Up For Ever electric blue Aqua liner. The smell of the Chocolate Soleil bronzer made me want to reach for my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette too so I thought I'd do a neutral-ish eyeshadow with a dramatic liner.

FFF: Dramatic Green Arabic Makeup Look - Collab with Shazia

I thought I'd restart my collaboration feature again seeing as I've been a bit more frequent with blog posts this year.
If you remember my collab with Sanna (Look A Million) in 2013, it involved choosing a theme/colour and leaving the artists to create whatever look they want with it.

This weeks theme is a green one and I collaborated with Shazia Haque to create a look with the colour.
I've listed the products I used below as usual; I decided to try two types of nude lip shades for this look and have added Shazia's pics after too.

I like how different our looks are; I went for a dramatic look to differ from my previous green makeup looks whilst Shazia went for a more subtle look which compliments her lip choice too.

FFF: Motives Brown-Copper Smokey Makeup Look - Pictorial!

Hello my lovelies! Hope you all had lovely holidays and had a nice break.

Mine was busy (of course) with makeup bookings for weddings, so unfortunately I haven't had time to review products or write full blog posts but I have gotten round to doing a makeup look for this week so I hope you enjoy!

I started by filling in the brows with the my new favourite brow product: Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Ebony.
I then primed the eye with Eden PP and patting Whipped Cream eyeshadow to the brow bone with a flat brush. 

With a fluffy blending brush, I then applied Cappuccino lightly to the crease followed by Neutral Medium Photo Finish powder above this, blending to the brow bone highlight.

NYX JEP in Black Bean was then applied to the eyelid only, then gently patted with a flat brush to blend.

Using the same flat brush, Chocolight was patted over this and blended upwards into Cappuccino in the crease. 

I alternated between Cappuccino, Neutral Medium powder and Chocolight, taking the blending higher until I was happy:

I then added MAC Copper Sparkle with my finger tip to the middle of the eye using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Genius.

I went back with the flat brush and added more Chocolight to either side of the pigment patting to blend slightly but not too much.

I then outlined the top liner with an angled brush and Inglot Gel liner creating an extended wing at the outer corner of the eye (not forgetting the inner top eye).
I followed this wing from the bottom outer corner leaving a gap in between. 

UD 24/7 eye pencil in Demolition was used to line the bottom waterline whilst a pointy brush was used to smoke out the bottom lash line winged liner with more Chocolight eyeshadow. You can add Onyx eyeshadow to the crease with a fluffy brush and Whipped Cream eyeshadow to the inner corner too to highlight if desired).

The gap between the top and bottom double winged liner was then filled with another angled liner brush and Anastasia Beauty Genius with MAC Copper Sparkle.
The under eye was concealed and mascara to coat top and bottom lashes.

Finally Eylure Kimberley lashes were applied to finish off the eye makeup:

I created a collage with the main steps so that it's easier to follow too:

For the rest of the face, I used the Motives Color Perfection Quad in Medium and contoured and highlighted following the Dress Your Face contouring guide using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit; I used Fawn, Java, Havana for contouring, graduating from light to dark, then Banana and Sand for highlighting.
Motives blush in So Peachy was used on the apples of the cheeks followed by the lip pencil in Naked with Rich Formula lipstick in Natural for the first lip combination:

I then used Motives Rich Formula lipstick in Red Coral:

Finally, I thought I'd up the drama with a dark lip too, using Motives for La La Mineral Lipstick in Naughty:

I realise now that the last couple looks have been with a smokey base; this was unintentional but I clearly seem to be loving smokey eyes at the mo so I hope you don't mind!

FFF: Gold-Black Arabic/Khaleeji style makeup look

Ok so I managed to get round to posting this Arabic/Khaleeji style makeup look using some of my purchases from the UMAE show!

I started by applying a thin layer of UDPP and used my LA Colors in Sunglasses (matte black) on the eyelid only, blending upwards.

I then applied UD Blackout from the Naked 2 palette on top of the area where the LA Colors Sunglasses was applied (on the eyelid), and blended upwards with a blending brush. I then blended La Femme Bisque on the crease downwards into the Blackout and then Tease above the crease, upwards into Bisque.

MUFE Or/Gold 004 was then patted on to the inner corner of the eye and Blitz (Vice Palette) was patted on top of it and along the eyelid slightly (but not in the crease).

Inglot gel eyeliner was used to create a point at the inner corner of the eye and then to line the whole eye including the bottom line.

I then used the remaining gel liner on the brush to outline the brows and fill them in, also using Sleek Bark shadow and then finished off the eyes with Maybelline Falsies mascara.

For the rest of the face I used MUFE HD foundation in N153 and contoured and highlighted the cheeks with Sleek Face Form in Medium, setting under the eyes and nose with Ben Nye Banana Powder.

The lips were filled in with NYX Mauve only at first to create the first look:

For the second look I used LimeCrime Velvetine in Red Velvet on the lips and added a bit of the gold side of Gypsy Red to the middle of the lips.

FFF: Copper-Green Cut Crease makeup look - collaboration!

This weeks FFF is a special one as it's also a collaboration with another MUA blogger - Sanna of Look A Million.

I discovered Sanna on Instagram and loved her creativity and flair! There's a ton of makeup artists on Instagram and online in general, but only a handful actually wow me and Sanna has to be one of them. 
"I am a self-taught freelance makeup artist, blogger, student and upcoming YouTuber based in West Yorkshire. Makeup is my passion and I have been practising from a very young age! I love to create a range of different looks from simple, elegant, dramatic and theatre. I love the creative side of makeup as makeup lets you be whoever you want and can change your appearance drastically (which is the fun bit). I love to explore different genres and themes. 
My favourite all time makeup brand has to be Illamasqua- their products are so pigmented which means I use less of it! I also love Sleek makeup. I look forward to making tutorials on YouTube and sharing how I achieve my looks." 

Seeing as I've never done this before, it's probably best to mention what exactly is involved. We decided on a Copper/Bronze and Green theme (with glitter) and challenged eachother to make a look with this theme. I was excited to find out what Sanna would use where, or if we'd end up with something similar, which we did in the end - great minds eh?
Here's the look I created with a full list of what was used:

> MAC Mocha lipstick (Surf Baby collection)

After priming the eye as usual with UDPP, I used an angled liner brush to mark out the cut crease with UD Blackout eyeshadow. I then used a tapered blending brush to lightly add Blackout above the crease and blended upwards. I did the same with Backdoor, to intensify the smokiness. Kinky was then applied to the browbone, followed by Freestyle in between it and Blackout/Backdoor. I made sure to blend well and go back with either Blackout or Freestyle as needed above the crease.

I then used Loaded eyeshadow on the bottom lash line, followed by Covet & Flipside eye pencils on top, blended with a small angled brush into a point on the inner corner, and a split liner look on the outer corner. I then lined the eye with Perversion eye pencil and used NYC black liquid liner to finish lining the top eyelid, also creating a point on the inner corner. I filled in the gap between the outer corner lines with UD 24/7 concealer in ATF.

After concealing under the eye with Khuraira ACC, I coated the lashes with Daniel Sandler Jumbo Jet Mascara and filled in the brows with Backdoor and Blackout eyeshadows from the same Smoked palette.

For the rest of the face, I used a sample of the Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup in 4- Beige all over the face and used Ben Nye Banana powder under the eyes and on areas needed. I then contoured with the Sleek Medium Contour Kit and highlighted from the UD Flushed palette.

On the lips I used MAC Mocha lipstick, mixed with a tiny bit of UD 24/7 concealer in ATF.

I loved her use of green above the crease and pairing it with a nude lip, which looks awesome!

Frooti shoots

I didn't get time to do a makeup look this week as I've been so busy with bookings and events so apologies for that!
However, the last photoshoot I did before I went on holiday consisted of an Asian/Arabian theme and I've chosen my favourites out of a fair few, so here they are:
