FFF: Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Palette Makeup Look
Friday, 11 December 2015
So following my last review post of the gorgeous Gwen Stefani palette, I had to use the two colours I picked out asap for a makeup look; 1987 (a bright yellow gold) and Danger (a deep royal blue).
I also added the electric blue 24/7 eyeliner on the waterline.. full product list and more pics below!

Hello my lovelies!
Today's Sunday Swatches post features the highly anticipated Gwen Stefani palette which has been on my wishlist since I first laid eyes on it..
Not only is the packaging of this palette a beaut, it's also luxe looking, much like the style icon herself and the colours are just a perfect selection of neutrals with a pop of jewel colours as you'll see below.
12 of the shadows are completely new, and 3 are repeats. So basically the whole palette is practically new for a hardcore UD fan.
No Doubt you'll be lusting after this palette too once I've finished this review too (see what I did there?!), so read on for more info and swatches.

So this weeks Sunday Swatches post follows up from the Vice 4 Palette look on Friday (here).
The last Vice Palette I have is the Vice 2 (missed out on the 3 last year!) but this palette looked promising and I love that it comes with a pouch so when I was kindly sent the palette to review I knew I had to dig in and create a look with the burnt orange shade "Bitter".

Hello my beauts!
After my last post regarding The Swatch Gallery Project, I thought I'd follow up with a swatch post of my own with the relatively new Urban Decay Matte Revolution lipsticks.
If you remember my post with the non-matte Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks, you'll know I rated them with a FrootiFactor of 5 because they reminded me of the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks and were insanely pigmented.
I have to say these Matte Revolution lipsticks are just as impressive as the original Revolution lipsticks. I'll be showing the lipsticks swatches and comparing them to the original Revolution lipsticks in this post.

Hi guys!
Apologies I've been MIA, but it has been for good reason as you will see below.
So I was approached by fellow blogger Annie (of Epiphanniea) with her idea of swatching products on different skintones as a sort of point-of-call/encyclopaedia for anyone looking to buy a specific product (for example, a lipstick).
Of course at first the thought overwhelmed me and I had my reservations, but because this is something I personally would be interested and something I've not yet seen done (other than within own brands like Illamasqua), I was totally sold and knew I wanted to help out.

Sorry for the lack of posts of late, I've been uber busy now that my little one is on the move walking but I will be back with posts very soon!
In the mean time I have a great post from one of my favourite bloggers: Iqra of The Blushing Giraffe.

Hope you enjoy her post below:
Two Tone Geometric Nails
Thank you Safiyah for
asking me back to do a wee Takeover Tuesday post on her lovely blog for
you! I've been a long term fan of this lady with her seriously
impressive makeup skills & I'm looking forward to the day when she
finally teaches me how to contour right! I came to the conclusion that I
may have been doing it wrong all this time after my mother inquired if
I'd been in a fist fight on account of the "bruising" on my face...hmm.
O_o *cough*
Anyways,
I digressed majorly there didn't I? If you're familiar with my blog at
all you'll know that nail art is my passion. Today I have for you
lovelies a quick & simple two tone geometric design using two
polishes from Loreal's Color Riche range.

Following my last Smoky makeup look post, it's only fitting to follow up with the review and swatches of the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette!
As a previous Urbanette (someone who applied makeup for Urban Decay on a counter), you could say I have ample experience with the brand and am still a hardcore UD fan as many of my friends, family and readers will know.
I've loved seeing the brand grow from strength to strength, you can read my Urban Story and Naked History for some background info on my experiences!
I've had the pleasure of reviewing and creating makeup looks for all three previous Naked Palettes on this very blog, and came up with my own guide to which Naked Palette is for your skintone here.
However, this Naked Smoky palette is something slightly different; I have to say I was a huge fan of the Smoked palette and still dip into it now and then, but now the Naked Smoky palette is on the market with 12 shades of matte, satin and sparkle, it may well be the palette I reach for more when I need a quick smoky look.

Hello my loves, hope you're all well!
Today I'm going to be reviewing the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in shade Sand and the Love Flush blush in I Will Always Love You.
As you may well know from my last post on the Too Faced Bronzer Wardrobe, I have always loved Too Faced for their super sweet girly packaging.

Following my last post featuring my Eid Makeup Look which used the new Illamasqua collection, it's only right I follow up with a review and swatches post to show you just how awesome this collection is!
Dusk is inspired by the middle east and the art of skin sculpting and contouring; I love how the shades in this collection compliment medium/warmer skintones perfectly, (but can equally be worn by fairer and deeper tones too).
My first impressions were of course surprise and adoration; firstly at the wearability of this collection for my own skintone and secondly the new products I'd never seen before by Illamasqua - the Slick Sticks and the Sculpting Palette. I'm used to their colouring pencils and the quad palettes so this was new territory for me and I couldn't wait to dig in.

Hi guys!
So sorry about the lack of posts, I've been uber busy with baby and the month of Ramadan but now that it is over, I thought I would get back on track with my backlog of posts and start with the Eid makeup look I wore last week to compliment my teal kaftan (from StyleMeLondon) as posted on my Instagram:
I didn't get to get a close up of the eyes as usual but I got pretty clear face pictures so you can see that I went for a soft glam with a hint of colour on my lower lashline to tie in with the kaftan as I felt teal on the lids would be too much!
I also got to use my newest makeup products from the Illamasqua Dusk collection (review here!)
Here's a breakdown of products used:
Eyes:
• UDPP
• Illamasqua Brow Gel - Strike & ABH DipBrow Pomade in Chocolate
• Smashbox Full Exposure palette: shimmery golds on lids and matte nudes and black to blend in crease and above
• Illamasqua Precision Gel Liner in Infinity
• UD 24/7 Pencils in Covet and Flipside
• Huda Beauty Lashes: Giselle
Face:
• Maybelline Fit Me foundations in shade 210 and 220
• NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger (slightly darker for me so added HOGD (next) on top
• House Of GlamDolls GlamBase Wheel for contouring and concealing under foundation
• Illamasqua Sculpting Palette
• Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Cherish
Lips:
• Illamasqua Slick Stick for Lips in True
• Illamasqua lipstick in Born
• Lansinoh (for moisturising lips on top)

[picture heavy post!]
After attending the MUFE UK event 2 weeks ago, I knew people were dying to get their hands on some products so here's my review of the ever popular MUFE foundation and swatches of some of their Aqua range.
I also love the HD Powder to use on clients so I was happy to get a full size in my goody bag at the event.

My last post featuring the Too Faced Bronzers spurred me on to do a makeup look, so I thought I would include some of my newest acquisitions in this look including two of the bronzers from the previous post and a Make Up For Ever electric blue Aqua liner. The smell of the Chocolate Soleil bronzer made me want to reach for my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette too so I thought I'd do a neutral-ish eyeshadow with a dramatic liner.

Hi my lovelies!
Today's special post is another one of my favourite brands that I've been a fan of for years.
Since the days I used to work in Debenhams, Too Faced was a brand that caught my eye when it used to be on a stand with Urban Decay (they now have their own allocated counter spaces thankfully!).
It was the very girly and pretty packaging that caught my eye back then, and being the girly girl I am, the Too Faced Mood Swing lipgloss (colour changing lipgloss) had me all excitable.
It's a brand that I've always paired with Urban Decay (probably because they shared the stand), but also because Too Faced had very similar products to Urban Decay like the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, their waterproof eyeliners and their pigmented eyeshadows.
Of recent times Too Faced have released some pretty awesome products like the Melted Lipsticks and the Chocolate Bar palette which I sometimes open just to inhale.
This post is semi chocolate related; I was very kindly sent an absolutely amazing Bronzer Wardrobe which features 8 (yes 8!) bronzers and a beautiful Kabuki brush because Too Faced believe there's a bronzer for all occasions, moods and outfits (and I don't disagree either!).

Hello my Frooti Beauties!
This weeks Tuesday Takeover is from Mohima who I discovered through Instagram with her stunning looks and honest reviews.
I hope you guys enjoy her review today, don't forget to follow her on Instagram and Facebook!
Hi Guys! Thanks to Safiyah for letting me do the Tuesday Takeover blog post. I love a good natter about all things makeup so I'm going to get stuck in straight away!
Today I'll be reviewing Illamasqua's new Gel Colour cheek tint. These come in stick form and provide an instant flush of colour to your complexion.
Now let me just take a moment to tell you that I love Illamasqua. Anyone who follows me on social media knows I harp on about them all day, everyday. They always think outside the box and keep it interesting. When I saw this product launch I wanted it immediately!
The Gel Colours include two shades, Charm (Apricot) & Fluster (Pink). I will be reviewing the latter. There is also a contour colour, referred to as Gel Sculpt, in the shade Silhouette.

It's been a while since I've done a makeup look so I got down to doing one after Illamasqua kindly sent me some products I was itching to use (check my interview with them from last month here).
I love the pigment Fervent that I was sent and following the last post by Halima I was dying to use my Static iridescent pigment so I thought hey why not try them together? Check out how it turned out below!
Products used:
Eyes:
• UDPP
• Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade - Dark Brown
• Motives shadows: Heavy Metal (main eyelid), Whipped Cream (highlight), Cappuccino (crease), Onyx (outer corner/crease)
• Illamasqua Pure Pigments in Fervent & Static
• NYX Two Timer eyeliner on top waterline and eyeliner (smudged as eyeliner)
• Eldora lashes: H151
Face:
• Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation in shade 233
• Motives Liquid Correction Concealer in Light
• Motives Luminous pressed powder in Light/Medium
• House Of GlamDolls GlamBase Wheel for contouring and concealing under foundation
• Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit - Fawn, Java, Havana for contour, Banana and Sand for highlight
• Motives blush in Baby Doll
Lips:
• Motives liner in Pink Lady
• Illamasqua lipstick Bare
What do you think? Fervent kind of reminds me of an oil slick-y type effect that I quite like.. I used Static as a inner corner colour so you can't see the full beauty of it but I do hope to use it again in another look!
All Illamasqua products can be bought online or at their flagship store in Beak Street and various other retailers.

Hello my lovelies!!
Today I have a special Tuesday Takeover for you from Halima of Fashionicide.
I have loved Halima's blog for a long while now (I currently have serious pastel hair envy!) and I knew when I attended the Illamasqua launch of the To Be Alive collection that Halima would be the perfect person to review the products!
The collection is dominated by the colour blue and comprises of an iridescent lipgloss (Iridesce), a lipstick (Vendetta), an eyeshadow palette (Spirit) and a beautiful iridescent nail polish (Prismatic).
Find out what unicorn princess Halima thought about the lipgloss below and don't forget to follow her blog!

Hi guys!
This week's FFF features another collab with Tanzina of Makeup A to Z, who chose the theme to be her favourite colour teal/turquoise; I added a hint of purple to the look as I generally love turquoise/teal broken up with purple, so I hope you like!
Products used:
Eyes:
• UDPP & NYX JEP in Milk
• Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade - Ebony
• Urban Decay Electric Palette - Fringe (eyelid)
• Motives eyeshadows: Whipped Cream (inner corner highlight), Onyx (outer corner), Cappuccino & Chocolight (crease), Whipped Cream (brow bone), Fantasy (lower lashline)
• MAC Reflects Pigment - Transparent Teal
• Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil in Electric & Ransom
• Motives Little Black Dress Gel Liner
• Eldora False lashes in H151
• Lenses: Desio Lens in Forest Green
Face:
• Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Foundation - 2WN2
• House Of GlamDolls GlamBase Wheel for contouring and concealing under foundation
• Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit - Fawn, Java, Havana for contour, Banana and Sand for highlight
• Motives Blush in So Peachy
Lips:
• Motives lip liner in Tender
• Motives lipstick in Nice
And here's Tanzina's take on the teal/turquoise look:
I absolutely love the combination she used with the royal blue and pink, I've always been a huge fan of brights and this looks stunning on Tanzina.
Be sure to follow her blog for more makeup looks and reviews (www.makeupatoz.com).

I thought I'd restart my collaboration feature again seeing as I've been a bit more frequent with blog posts this year.
If you remember my collab with Sanna (Look A Million) in 2013, it involved choosing a theme/colour and leaving the artists to create whatever look they want with it.
This weeks theme is a green one and I collaborated with Shazia Haque to create a look with the colour.
I've listed the products I used below as usual; I decided to try two types of nude lip shades for this look and have added Shazia's pics after too.
Products used:
Eyes:
• UDPP & NYX JEP in Blackbean
• Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade - Ebony
• Motives eyeshadows: Creme Fresh (inner corner highlight), Green Apple (inner eyelid), Forbidden & Heavy Metal (eyelid), Onyx (outer corner), Cappuccino (crease), Vanilla (brow bone)
• Urban Decay Distortion Heavy Metal Glitter eyeliner
• Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil in Dime & El Dorado
• NYC Liquid Eyeliner
• Benefit They're Real mascara
• Motives lashes in 111
• Lenses: Desio Lens in Forest Green
Face:
• Motives Quad in Medium & Liquid Powder Mineral foundation in Vanilla Cream
• House Of GlamDolls GlamBase Wheel for contouring and concealing under foundation
• Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit - Fawn, Java, Havana for contour, Banana and Sand for highlight
• Motives Blush in Baby Doll
Lips:
• Motives for LaLa lipstick in Nice
• Motives lipstick in Pink Sand
And here's Shazia's look using the green theme, how gorgeous is she (mA)??!:
I like how different our looks are; I went for a dramatic look to differ from my previous green makeup looks whilst Shazia went for a more subtle look which compliments her lip choice too.
You can find the products she used on her Instagram ShaziaHaqueMakeup, be sure to check out her stunning looks!
