[picture heavy post]
I've been meaning to do a Nicki Minaj look for a long time now, but when a request for one came recently, I couldn't put it off any longer! Nicki Minaj is definitely an icon, love her or hate her! I love how she's not afraid of colour too and for those that know me, you'll know I adore colour!
For this look, I did choose something fairly pretty and not so zany, but next time I may go for a bit of a crazier look.
So this is the inspirational picture I chose..
I just love turquoise/teal and thought the perfect palette for this would be the UD anniversary palette.. Deep End is the most gorgeous turquoise/teal I have and I thought Evidence (navy) would go well too.
Products used:
> UD cream to powder concealer - Supernova
> UDPP & NYX JEP in Milk
> UD Anniversary palette - Evidence & Deep End
> La Femme pressed eyeshadow (refill in Z palette) White
> Sleek Nude palette - Bark & Noir
> UD 24/7 eye pencil in Zero & Binge
> MAC Penultimate eyeliner in Rapidblack
> UD Cannonball Mascara
> Khuraira ACC in light & MAC studio concealer in NC35
> UD Glide-ON Cheek Tint - Quickie
> UD SSLC in Crush
Start by applying UDPP to the eyelid:
Spread the primer all over the eyelid til its clear (or thereabouts!), then add NYX JEP in Milk all over the eyelid and some on the brow bone:
Once this is spread use a flat brush to add Deep End to the inner corner and middle of the eyelid:
Then add Evidence to the outer corner of the eye but mainly in the crease:
Bark (from the Sleek Nude palette) was then used on the crease, blending upwards:
La Femme eyeshadow in White was added to the browbone and blended down into Bark. You may need to add more Bark/La Femme to blend better, but make sure you are blending back and forth!:
You may need to clean up the outer corner (as in the last tutorial with a cotton bud). For the topliner I used MAC Penultimate eyeliner:
Line the inner eyes with UD Zero eyepencil (top and bottom):
The bottom lashline was lined with UD 24/7 eyeliner in Binge:
You can also add Evidence with a liner brush to emphasise the navy blue:
Fill in the brows with Bark (& Noir if you like dark brows!):
Use UD Cannonball Mascara for the lashes, wiggling the brush well into the lashes to thicken and lengthen:
Conceal under the eyes et Voila!
I really should get turquoise hair haha! So there you have it.. It's a lovely colourful look with some of my favourite colours and colour combinations - teal/turquoise and bright pink!
Let me know what you think and if there are any more requests please as always, let me know!

DeleteAnyway, re NM, I always find that she her makeup is atrocious. The bright greeny shadow she wears is a nice shad but I find it's never blended well enough.
Yours on the other hand looks fantastic.
