For those of you who don't know, I discovered Khuraira at the start of this year (click here for my original reviews on certain products I received) and have used the Brow Fix and Age Control Concealer (ACC) religiously everyday since then and in quite a few makeup looks! I love the fact that the concealer is creamy, dewy and very thick, which is exactly what's needed for my hideous dark circles. I've used it on a few other people aswell and they've commented that it makes you look "flawless", so I want to add all three shades of this concealer to my kit/wishlist!

The other concealer still remains pretty much unused and the dark circle primer hasn't been used as much as I thought I would cos I didn't notice much of a difference and if anything, a orange tint to my eye area! Maybe I used too much of the product, because I also noticed the same thing with a Laura Mercier orange corrector for dark circles too that I had bought.

Recently I have added the Invisible Powder and Lash Lengthening Mascara to my makeup kit to use on other people. Yesterday I did a friends makeup for an occasion and used the invisible powder on her, worrying if it'd make her look ashy (she's black). It actually set the foundation really well as she was an oily skin type and was actually invisible, so I'm impressed. Khuraira do claim that it is used by Oprah, so now I've tried it on darker skin tones, I do believe their claims. Plus I'm all for products that do what they say on the tin, so this now gets a proper thumbs up.

I haven't used the Lash Primer much, especially since I've started using the Urban Decay Lush Lash system, which has it's own lash conditioning mask, but the consistency of both are pretty similar, although the UD lash mask is less visibly white. As for the lipstick, it's one I use on my days off work, at home, cleaning, etc, (yes I'm that glam!) just a nice natural shade and keeps my lips moisturised =)

What with wedding season coming up and the release of the new film "Bridesmaids", Urban Decay have released a kit fit for any Bride & Bridesmaid.
The kit includes essentials in both full and miniature sizes.

Personally I think the kit is quite ingenious, although I think not having the eyeshadow Polyester Bride in the kit is a bit silly!
Breaking it down product by product then, here's my review:

> Eyeshadow Primer Potion
An essential for anybody wearing makeup on an occasion, or for prolonged wear of eyeshadow, as eyeshadows can crease up to 30 minutes after wear (for particularly oily skin types!) 

> Razor Sharp finishing powder 
This is a great product for brides especially to have, it's a product I recommend any bride I do for a trial, as you always need a touch up of powder to set your makeup and lippy.

> Supercurl Curling mascara 
Great choice of mascara, curls without the need of eyelash curlers! 

> Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Midnight Cowboy 
Midnight Cowboy lipgloss and lipstick by UD are the most neutral lip colours, fairly sheer, with a tad of glitter. The Lip Junkie gloss is also minty fresh and tastes amazing, so its a great product to have in this kit; A mini choice of lippy would have improved this kit even further!

> All-nighter setting spray 
Personally, I don't think this is needed in the kit if the Razor Sharp finishing powder is in there, they both pretty much do the same job - set the makeup, so I would have preferred an eyeshadow like Polyester Bride or a nice red lippy like Gash.

> Sparkling Lickable Body Powder 
I'll be honest, I do own the chocolate flavour one of these, it smelled divine, gives a light sparkle and tastes like icing sugar. The only one from the lickable body powder range that I didn't like was Honey cos it smelled disgusting, but thankfully Marshmallow smells gorgeous too.


All in all, I really do think it's a great gift idea for a bride or bridesmaid, especially seeing as wedding season is definitely looming. The brand is prestigious enough to carry around with you for the occasion and as with 99% of UD products, they won't let you down.

It's available online exclusively at Debenhams.com from 17th May and on counters in Debenhams from the 30th May. Prices aren't confirmed yet, but they should be around the £25 mark.

I for one think I'll be getting these as presents for friends/family who are getting married this year, or even for when I go on holiday as the miniature versions of the full size products I have will be much more easier to carry on holiday!

Sleek True Colour Lipsticks

Since Sleek have relaunched their improved True Colour lipsticks, I decided to try them out. What I really wanted is to see if I love them as much as the Pout Polishes, but at first glance in Superdrug, I wasn't too impressed. On my second visit to the counter, I realised there were matte and sheen versions of the same colour, which was quite cute. There are 16 shades in total, making it 8 pairs of matte/sheen colours.
They definitely are highly pigmented, quite crayonish in my opinion, but they don't look too bad on the lips and are enriched with Vitamin E, which keeps the lips soft.
I decided to give two of the sheen colours a go (Coral Reef & Candy Cane), a summery coral and pink.

The outer packaging is pretty budget (for £3.99 it's expected!!), but the actual lipstick packaging is pretty sleek, soft-touch with the "Sleek true colour" mark on the lid.

Both look quite bright and almost fluorescent under the bright camera flash, so I've put two pics of each lipstick on my lips, to give you a better idea!

I do prefer the pink (Candy Cane) more so than the coral, probably because it reminds me of my Pink Cadillac Pout Polish (which I topped up and rebought on Saturday, cos it's used so much!).

I may just buy two more, especially as they are currently on offer 2 for £5.99 at Superdrug!

Bridal Trial - Royal Blue & Green

Last Bank Holiday Sunday I did a makeup trial for one of my cousins who's getting married this July. I will be away in Morocco for my sister-in-laws wedding for the main (red) day, but will be back for the second day (called the walima).
My cousin will be wearing a royal blue dress with emerald green border on her veil, so I chose these colours and a silvery-gold to match the threadwork and beading/stones.
I did a different look per eye, to see which one she preferred/which one suited her best.

NYX Round Lipsticks Review

Since spotting the "Margarita" NYX round lipstick at my makeup course, I have been wanting it desperately. I managed to find out through rhamnousia on Twitter about a lovely eBay seller Joy, who sells NYX products for great prices from America.
The Round Lipsticks are velvety textured and long lasting, making them NYX's best selling lippys. They're available for £4.95 each via the NYX website.
I decided to go for the 3 lipsticks offer Joy's cosmetic offers, seeing as I need a collection of red lipsticks for my bridal makeup collection. So I chose Margarita, Chaos and Eros; a coral colour and two reds.

I received the lipsticks within 2 weeks which was great, however I think I may have used an old Margarita lipstick in my makeup course as this one I received seemed a bit more frosty.. does anyone know for certain if the old Margarita lipstick was a tad less frostier? I'm sure it was in the makeup course and more coral-ly than frosty peach.

Anyway, that was the only disappointment as frosty colours tend not to suit my lips as they are darker/pigmented, so on to the other two colours I chose: Chaos & Eros.

Chaos:

A dark, red lippy, bordering on the purple side in my pics! I do prefer this red to Eros though. Review: it's definitely pigmented, smoothes on nicely on the lips (provided you have Vaseline or a lip primer on!) and is reasonably priced considering!

Eros:

A orange-red lipstick, bright and slightly shimmery compared to Chaos, which has little to no shimmer at all!

Overall, the consistency of the lipsticks are great, not too drying and definitely better on the lips than the Diamond Sparkle lipstick I got before (check here for the post). The Diamond Sparkle lipstick is smooth and moisturising, but grainy in texture because of the glitteriness.
The packaging seems a tad cheap but it's expected to be honest and I do like the little window at the bottom of the lipstick that tells you what shade of lipstick it is. My only qualm with the packaging is that the colour is named on the lid.. so if you have three (or more!) lipsticks like me and have a terrible short term memory, it's easy to get it mixed up!
All in all though, aside from the Margarita non-suitability, I love these lipsticks and will defo buy some more soon!
