FFF: Green-Blue-Purple makeup look

Saturday, 19 May 2012

This weeks FFF is another bright makeup look products from the last post (here). It reminds me of the hulk for some reason!

Products used:
Eyes:
> UDPP
> NYX JEP in Milk
> Sleek Caribbean palette - Apres Midori, Blue Lagoon, Purple Haze
> Sleek Monaco palette - Bamboo & Midnight Garden
> Sleek Au Naturel palette - Bark & Noir
> UD 24/7 eye pencil in Zero
> UD 24/7 eyeshadow liner in Delinquent
> MAC fluidline in Blacktrack
> Daniel Sandler Jumbo Jet Mascara
> Khuraira ACC in Light
> MAC Studio Finish concealer - NC35
Face:
> UD Surreal Skin Cream to Powder foundation - Supernova
Lips:
> MAC Sail La Vie
> MAC Watch Me Simmer
> MAC Quick Sizzle

After priming the eye with UDPP & NYX JEP in Milk I applied Apres Midori to the full eyelid, whilst Blue Lagoon was used in the crease and blended outwards, followed by a little Midnight Garden in the crease. Bamboo was used on the brow bone and blended down into Blue Lagoon.
I used UD Zero eye pencil to line the entire inner eye, with MAC Blacktrack for the topliner and UD Delinquent for the bottom liner. Sleek Purple Haze was used for the bottom liner too, blended slightly.
Daniel Sandler mascara was used on top and bottom lashes followed by Sleek's Bark & Noir from the Au Naturel palette for the brows; Khuraira & MAC concealers were then used under the eye:
For the rest of the face I used UD cream to powder foundation in Supernova and UD bronzer in Toasted along the cheekbones and Sleek Pan Tao blush on the apples of the cheeks. For the lips I first used MAC Sail La Vie lipstick (Hey, Sailor!):
I then used MAC Watch Me Simmer lipstick (Reel Sexy collection):
Finally I used MAC Quick Sizzle (Shop MAC, Cook MAC collection):

Passion Flower/Purple Tulip makeup look

Wednesday, 22 June 2011

After seeing the legendary and late Queen B Makeup's "passionflower look" (click here), I just had to replicate it! I loved the purple and rainbow colours and the way they looked together, so I did my own version of it, using similar colours but tailoring it to what I thought suited best. I also wanted to use my NYX San Paulo Matte Lip Cream (MLC), so I did for this look ;)
Here's how my version looked:
And the original look by Alejandra (QueenBMakeup):
For this look I used:
> UD Urban Defense Tinted Moisturiser in Bodyguard
> UDPP
> NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk & Yogurt
> Manly Palette - yellow, orange, red and purple eyeshadows
> MAC studio concealer in NC35
> UD Ink for Eyes in Zero (for liner & brows)
> UD Cannonball mascara
> Khuraira Brow Fix Gel
> UD Glide On Cheek Tint in Score
> Sleek blush in Pomegranate
> NYX Matte Lip Cream (MLC) in San Paulo

After applying UD tinted moisturiser in Bodyguard all over my face, I used UDPP on the eyelids followed by NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk, blending in with the finger. I followed Queen B's video tutorial for the rest, substituting with eyeshadow colours I thought appropriate from my Manly palette.
For the cheeks I used UD cream blush in Score followed by Sleek Pomegranate blush.
I used my new NYX MLC in San Paulo for the lips, which I adore!

So here's how the look turned out:
The eyes:
The whole face:

I think it turned out pretty well and really love the tropical-ness of it, the colours looked even more amazing in real life =D
What do you think? Also let me know if you have any makeup suggestions you'd like me to try, I'm looking for some inspiration =)

Sleek Tropical Look

Sunday, 17 October 2010

Seeing as winter is definitely coming in London, I decided to brighten my mood last week by doing a glowing tropical look (using my two new Sleek purchases!)

For this look I used:
> Elf mineral primer
> "original" Sleek palette - the light gold for the inner corner and blues & greens
> UD "zero" eyeliner
> MAC penultimate rapidblack eyeliner
> Dior Extase mascara (black)
> myface.cosmetics concealer in "213"
> Sleek "rose gold" shimmer blush
> Sleek Pout Polish in "electro peach"

To start, I applied the light gold colour (bottom left corner of the palette) to the inner corner of the eye(s) and brow bone, followed by the green colour (top right corner) to the middle of the eyelid & then blue to the outer corner. I then used the MO blending brush to use the teal/dark turquoise colour of the palette to the crease, blending upwards to the light gold brow bone, then blending between the blue and green edges, so they gradually fade into eachother.
The top eye was lined with UD Zero, then MAC rapidblack penultimate liner on top for a darker line. The bottom lash line was lined first with blue from the palette with a wet brush (on the outer corner), then again with green from the palette on the middle of the lash line to the inner corner (to meet the light gold). UD Zero was used on the lower waterline.

To finish the eye, I used Dior Extase mascara after applying myface.cosmetics concealer under the eye. For the cheeks I used the Sleek Rose Gold shimmer blush (which I am totally in love with for a peachy glow btw!), and for the lips I used Sleek Electro Peach pout polish..

Let me know what you think!
