Seeing as I am a Pout Polish collector, I decided to add another colour to my collection, the new LE Sugar May. It's a peachy-beige colour and very creamy like all the others (minus Scandal, which is less creamier in consistency). Unfortunately it's not as sweet as the newer Pout Polishes (you'll know what I mean if you own Scandal, or the browns), but nevertheless, a lovely summery colour!

with flash it looks a lot more peachier/bright, but its a very light peach, so here's the pout polishes without flash:

The pictures with flash do however resemble the actual colours more than the individual shot of Sugar May taken above, as you can see its lighter! Must be my camera concentrating the colour when I zoom in or something :S

Festive Sleek haul and (old) findings

Sorry I've been a bit AWOL lately, just been doing some overtime at work and boy is it busy! You'd have thought snow would have put people off shopping but of course not late Christmas shopping!
Anyway, I've been doing a bit of my own little shopping, picking up things whenever I've been out and about.

First haul: Sleek
I managed to pick up the LE Sleek Sparkle palette; great for the festive season, and great for sparkle enthusiasts like moi! I also picked up the Sleek Pout Polish in Powder Pink, and the LE shimmer blush Pomegranate.

As you can see, the Pomegranate is more of a purple shade than the Rose Gold (check my swatches for Rose Gold here). The Powder Pink pout polish is more a baby pink compared to the Pink Cadillac, I love both! As for the Sparkle palette, I didn't bother doing swatches as I'm sure every other blogger has probably swatched it already, I'll be doing another Christmassy look with the Sparkle palette in my next post, look out for it! If you do want swatches though, I'll do it =)

My last visit to my mums ended entailed nice beauty surprises! Firstly I'd won a lipstick from Rimmel: Lasting Finish Lipstick in Sweetie (woop!):

 

I'll defo have to use this in a make up look soooon.. I love the colour so much! Especially cos it has purple flecks in it! ♥

The other thing was something I knew I'd bought as a spare present, but wasn't sure if it had been gifted already.. luckily for me it hadn't! It was a UD "Urban Essentials" set from a while ago which consists of a LE huge size Primer Potion (PP) and two eyeshadows - Midnight Cowboy (beige with silver microglitter) & Goddess (midnight blue with electric blue microglitter). In all honesty I've used the Goddess eyeshadow since I got it, if you find me on most days when I can't be bothered to use colours but want to make a slight effort, I use it on the outer corners of the eyes (with Clinique Sugar Sugar on the inner corners). I can't for the life of me remember where I placed the Midnight Cowboy though! 

The PP in this pack is amazingly still liquid-y, as opposed to dried out, so hopefully I should be able to use it =D

On an UD note, the last time I bought something I received some samples from the lovely lovely people on the UD stand.. it's rare for them to have samples but seeing as I buy so much UD from them, I got one of each =D

The Stardust shadow is in "Retrograde" (dark purple with sparkle) and the Lipstick in "Gash" (matches my lip pencil from them!). I'm not sure what colour the lipgloss is in as I haven't opened it and couldn't see any visible names.

Silver-Grey look

This look was inspired by the chick in the Roll Deep video for "Green Light": (Advanced warning, this video is very hot!) click here for the video. The only pics I could find off Google were these:


I tailored the look to my own taste; not so dark/black, I used more grey than black =)

Here's the products I used for this look:

I started by applying Barry M white eyeliner to the inner corner of the eyes (after primer), so that the white bit would stay bright and pop, even after adding the darker colours. I put the MO White Pearl on top of this (the inner corner), followed by MO silver grey on the middle of the eyelid. I then added UD Vorpal (or S&M) on top of the Models Own silver, as it was too bright and Vorpal toned it down. I then added UD Gunmetal to the outer corner of the eye and a little bit of UD Perversion to darken it further. The outer corner was winged using the MO blending brush, and the made into a more punctuated "wing" by using a cotton bud soaked in makeup remover to shape it.
UD Zero was used as top liner, whilst the bottom lash line was shaded using the remainder of what was left on the MO blending brush. After MAC concealer was used under the eye (and mixed a little with face moisturiser cos I'm still ill!), I added mascara to top and bottom lashes.



For the rest of the face I used Illamasqua blush on the apples of the cheeks to give a bit of colour compared to the cold/grey eyes. For the lips I decided to use pink (Sleek Pink Cadillac) as I personally like pink & grey together!

Sleek Tropical Look

Seeing as winter is definitely coming in London, I decided to brighten my mood last week by doing a glowing tropical look (using my two new Sleek purchases!)

For this look I used:

> Elf mineral primer

> "original" Sleek palette - the light gold for the inner corner and blues & greens

> UD "zero" eyeliner

> MAC penultimate rapidblack eyeliner

> Dior Extase mascara (black)

> myface.cosmetics concealer in "213"

> Sleek "rose gold" shimmer blush

> Sleek Pout Polish in "electro peach"

To start, I applied the light gold colour (bottom left corner of the palette) to the inner corner of the eye(s) and brow bone, followed by the green colour (top right corner) to the middle of the eyelid & then blue to the outer corner. I then used the MO blending brush to use the teal/dark turquoise colour of the palette to the crease, blending upwards to the light gold brow bone, then blending between the blue and green edges, so they gradually fade into eachother.

The top eye was lined with UD Zero, then MAC rapidblack penultimate liner on top for a darker line. The bottom lash line was lined first with blue from the palette with a wet brush (on the outer corner), then again with green from the palette on the middle of the lash line to the inner corner (to meet the light gold). UD Zero was used on the lower waterline.

To finish the eye, I used Dior Extase mascara after applying myface.cosmetics concealer under the eye. For the cheeks I used the Sleek Rose Gold shimmer blush (which I am totally in love with for a peachy glow btw!), and for the lips I used Sleek Electro Peach pout polish..

More Sleek...

Popped into Superdrug the other day & bought one of the new hyped shimmer blushes. I tried them all on my hand but Pomegranate & Sunrise seemed too dark, so I bought Rose Gold.. and I loved the fact it was two toned (like my fishnet) =D

I also bought Electro Peach pout polish seeing as I am a huge fan of them.

I also bought a supposed MAC 217 brush dupe: No7 eyeshadow blend & contour. Seeing as I had the £5 No7/Ruby & Millie voucher, I got this brush for £1.50.. bargain!

I've used it once since buying and its lovely and fluffy, although I think its a tad too big for my eyes :|

Newho, keep a lookout for the next look.. gonna do something with the original Sleek palette!

Eid look

Ok, so I've been busy the last couple days, as it's been coming to the end of Ramadan, and had Eid shopping to do...

Of course I managed to pick up some more makeup for myself, I needed a new concealer, as my old favourite (Clinique's line smoothing concealer in medium honey) is now discontinued. To date I still haven't found the perfect concealer (including the MAC one I use!), nothing seems to hold and seem a good a shade as the Clinique one *sigh*. 

Anyway, I bought Urban Decay's liquid concealer in hallucination..quite light for my skin but I can blend it or use it underneath another concealer I bought from the brand "myface.cosmetics" (click here for site). I've never heard of the brand, but when I came across it in Boots, the Asian lady's face stood out to me, so I thought I'd have a look at concealers and..found one pretty similar to my Clinique one. Even the bottle is pretty much the same! (clear tube with silver wand lid).

I've used it for the look I've tried below. I wore purple, which has diamantes in it, and a couple pink & purple coloured gems with beige/gold threadwork... 

My Clinique small palette I got in a Bonus Time a while ago would do the job just fine alone, but I decided to vamp up the purple and use my "psychedelic sister" from the new UD NYC palette, as well as the 24/7 eyeliners - ransom and zero.

The products I used for this look were:

> Clinique colour surge eyeshadow duo in "beach plum"
> UD NYC - "psychedelic sister"
> 24/7 eyeliners in zero and ransom
> myface.cosmetics concealer in 213
> Diorshow mascara
> Clinique bronzer in "almond blossom"
> Sleek "pink cadillac" pout polish

First I applied the Clinique creamy-beige eyeshadow from the small "beach plum" palette to the full eyelid as well as under the eyebrow, adding the "plum" purple of the two to the outer lid and crease, to just under the eyebrow where the cream shadow is. I used the MO blending brush to add the UD "psychedelic sister" to the crease, blending it all for a less harsher finish.
I then lined the bottom lash line with "ransom" 24/7 eyeliner, followed by "zero" on the top eyelid and bottom waterline.

Finally I the Clinique almond blossom on cheeks and forehead and chin. Although great colours, this version of almond blossom gave my skin a shine to it that I wasn't really looking for, but here's what the end product looked like:
