Hello my lovelies, so as aforementioned, I did a makeup look on my cousin on Monday night, it was mainly just to practice applying false lashes, but I thought I may as well go the whole hog and make it a full on makeup look, something that would be more suited to the second day of an Asian wedding.
I used:

There's a hint of brown with the pink, an unlikely pair of colours, but very common in asian thread and beadworks for some reason!

Arabic Palette Look - Pink & Purple Bridal look

Sorry I've not been posting much this week, exciting and busy times, I should hopefully be entering a new job with a brand I love and the great thing is I get to practice my makeup and sell for them! =)
Can't say what brand, but it'll probably be obvious in time if not already ;)

For this look, I have chosen to do a makeup look using my most favourite colours; pink and purple!
When I got married last year, I wore this dupatta (scarf) that came with the dress I wore, it has silver, dark pink, magenta and bronze-yellow threading & beads/crystals. My original wedding makeup included the bronze-yellow in my eyeshadow (click here for my wedding makeup), but for this look I thought I'd pick out the silver work in the scarf.

I used the Arabic Palette and Manly for the white on the brow bone and the rest as follows:

> Bare Minerals makeup - Warm Beige foundation & Summer Bisque concealer
> UDPP
> Arabic Palette - silver white, pink, two-tone pink purple (UD Fishnet Dupe) & purple
> Manly palette - matte white for blending down brow bone, gold for highlighting cheeks
> Sleek Ink Pot gel liner
> UD 24/7 eyeliner in Zero & Asphyxia for bottom liner
> MAC rapidblack penultimate eyeliner (to get an even more intense black topliner)
> Eylure Girls Aloud false lashes in Kimberley
> Khuraira AC concealer in Light
> MAC Studio Finish concealer in NC35
> Sleek blush in Pomegranate
> Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Sweetie (click here for my post on it)

I hope you liked the look, I used pretty much the same products as the last bridal looks for complexion, and decided that the pink-purple toned Rimmel lipstick would go best with this.. 
As for eyelashes, these ones are the Eylure Girls aloud "Kimberley" ones, more natural than the ones I used in the last bridal look (Nadine's), I could actually look up with these! So for those of you wondering about the girls aloud eyelashes, if you have small eyes like me, Kimberley's are perfectly fine =)

Arabic Palette Look - Pink & Purple

Soooo, here's the first of two makeup looks I did over the last couple days, this one is of my two favourite colours (Pink & Purple), whilst the next one is gonna be a (south) Asian wedding look I tried.

Here's the products I used for this look:
> UDPP
> Arabic Palette - Pinks & Purples and Navy colour
> Sleek Ink Pot 
> UD Ink for Eyes in Zero
> Khuraira ACC - in Light
> MAC Studio Finish concealer in NC35
> Khuraira Lash Lengthening Mascara (LLM)
> Illamasqua blush in Hussy
> Pixi lip blush in Beauty
> OCC lip tar in Anime

It's pretty simple, after adding UDPP, I applied a shimmery white colour from the Arabic Palette to the inner corners of the eyes and brow bone, followed by purple on the middle and outer corner of the eyelid. I then added pinks (a light pink and a little bit of darker fuschia) to the crease, blending up into the white brow bone and down into the purple eyelid. I added a bit of navy eyeshadow from the palette to the outer corners of the eyes, blending into the purple.
To line the top and bottom of the eyes I used UD Ink for Eyes, smudging the bottom liner. I then applied Sleek Ink Pot on the top liner to further darken.
After applying both Khuraira & MAC concealer, I applied the Khuraira LLM in zigzag motions.

 

As for the rest of the face, I decided to use my old and trusty favourite blush - Illamasqua Hussy powder blush, as it is pink and would go well with the eyes and lips. I chose to show off the Pixi lip blush in Beauty for the same reason; it was a nice shade of pink, brighter than the Pixi "Youth" lip blush. Again, my lips are very dark/pigmented, so these lip blushes don't show up as bright as they probably would on others.

As you can see, the eyeshadow colours from the Arabic Palette look very shimmery, so it's hard to get the actual look/colours properly, without the flash reflecting the shimmer. But the colours are lovely, aside from the grainy texture which can be hard to work with at times.
I decided to use the OCC lip tar in Anime (neon pink) to change the look a bit, making it more dramatic, so here's what it looks like:

 

And the lips alone:

Tip: I found that using OCC lip tars is very tricky and messy, so using a lip brush is a must and using very little product is best.
Also, using the lip tar alone for me, ended up with very unsightly looking bits of crust showing up on the lips, therefore I'd suggest using Vaseline as a base on the lips so that they are moisturised, then using OCC lip tar on top. This is what I followed for this makeup look; prior to this, I just made a mess and looked horrific!

Arabic Palette Tryout

Hello my lovelies! I'd almost forgotten but I bought an Arabic palette on eBay (after being inspired by miss Nada), around mid January, and it arrived this week! 
I managed to swatch a couple colours to see just how good the pigmentation is... and I have to say its great! The only thing I don't like about the palette is its texture; its quite grainy which is a weird consistency for eyeshadow, but once it melts on the eyelid it looks lovely and rich. So don't go using it on cold blooded people or it may look like cack!
The palette is called "Miss Anny - 80 Makhmali Eyeshadow" and I got it from this seller (but I'd go straight here for the palettes coz they sell a lot of random stuff).
They're really quite cheap for the amount of colours you get and for the pigmentation, but enough talking, lets see the palette!

 

 

 

 

I have to admit, a lot of the colours look like they've been doubled or even tripled, or maybe just very slight differences in tone e.g. browns. One shade I spotted amongst the rest was:

look familiar?? Maybe not to some, but it defo stood out to me, as an UD Fishnet dupe! I'll have to swatch them together to see properly but I'm sure of it, coz it's my all time favourite colour; two toned pink and purple.
Anyway, here's some swatches from this palette, just random colours that stood out to me:
