Review
As this is a Huda Beauty series of the same liquid lipstick brand, I won't be going into depth about every point as I will be repeating myself from the first Nude Edition post (click the link here to read first!), however I will talk about the individual shades and any inconsistencies.

The Brown Edition contained two doubles of the Nude Edition - Trendsetter and Flirt, which I thought could have been replaced with limited edition brown shades instead of two doubles.. but they came in handy for mini giveaways on my Instagram so its ok for me; or maybe to split with a friend who likes nudes too.

Colour & Pigmentation:
As aforementioned in the Nude Edition review, the pigmentation is mostly good but some of the Huda lipsticks seem to apply more patchy/streaky than others.

Shades included in this set as described on shophudabeauty website:
Trendsetter: brown nude (I'd describe as a light rust nude)
Flirt: cheeky brown (similar to Dolce K)
Spice Girl: iconic 90s brownish mauve (very similar to Flirt imo)
Vixen: poisonous deep brown (browny red for me!)

Colour wise, again, I liked Trendsetter and Flirt best.
I thought Vixen was too dark for my liking and slightly patchy in application.

Least favourite: Spice Girl because I felt like it needed two layers (which if you read my previous post would take forever to dry!) and it was almost water colour-y in consistency.
I felt like it didn't fully dry completely even when given the same time to dry as the other Huda Liquid Lipsticks.
Basically it wasn't consistent with the pigmentation of the other shades in the set but I'm not sure if this is the case with every Spice Girl liquid lipstick or just my mini in my set!

Overall though, this set is wearable for those with medium to dark skin I'd say as the colours aren't too light for even the darkest of lips.

Price:
The price for this Nude Edition set was £33 HERE; which works out £8.25 each (1.9ml), compared to a full size 5ml for £18

Overall rating:
As I said in the last post, I'm glad Huda released these minis as I never really get through full size liquid lipsticks and like to experiment a variety to experiment with for makeup looks.
This particular set was good in terms of shade range too; as mentioned above, this Brown Edition is probably suitable for medium to dark skintones who love nudes whereas the Nude Edition is probably best for medium to light skintones.
Spice Girl was the patchiest/streakiest shade in this set for me and Vixen was too dark for my liking and slightly streaky too, so I give this set a 2.5

Do you have any Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Mini sets? Which is your favourite?

    1. I hope so too! It's hit and miss with some shades, I found the texture/pigmentation to be inconsistent, but could have just been my set 🤔
