MAC news & my Good Girl lips FOTD

Sunday, 7 November 2010

First of all I want to share something I found last week on a trip to Covent Garden MAC...

The magically cool liquid powder! I tried Cajun, but it seemed too dark.. so I bought Truth & Light, it has golden & pinky shimmer. It feels cool on the skin, and when I tried it with a brush on my face, it honestly feels like I've wet the brush, such a weird feeling! In case you don't already know, this is because it's made out of 70% water as the kind MAC assistant told me. He also mentioned that there's gonna be another collection next Spring (2011)..
Wonderwoman! I got sooo excited when he told me that, can't wait to jump on that bandwagon!

Anyway, as promised, here's a look (very simple btw!!) only to show the Sleek Good Girl palette on the lips & the MAC liquid powder. I used Pink Punch & Carmex for the lips and blended as well as I could. For the face I used MAC magically cool liquid powder in "Truth & Light" and Illamasqua "hussy" blush. I used UD "Crash" liquid liner for the top lid and "Lust" 24/7 eyeliner on the lower lashline, with a Victoria's secret blue mascara I picked up at Heathrow in April. It's not that great, so I don't really need to blog about it, aside from the fact that it's Victoria's Secret (which we can't get in the UK!)

Here's the lips then! You can just about see the Truth & Light shimmer.

I'm a Good Girl...

Saturday, 6 November 2010

I decided to use the pinks & oranges of the palette for my eyes for this look, seeing as most people have used this palette cautiously.. pinks and reds are tricky to wear without looking punched in the face, but of course as a lover of colour, I just haddd to experiment! I wanted to use darker colours too from the Bad Girl palette, but decided to just solely use this one alone.. for those of you who only have this palette.

I did use Pink Punch as blusher, but didn't go all out for lips too although I should've done! I'll do a look using the shadows for lip colour next. As you may be able to tell, I tried to use as much Sleek products as possible!

Here's what was used:

> UDPP
> Sleek Good Girl palette - Lychee, Meringue, Candyfloss, Pink Punch, Cupcake, Peach Melba & Morella
> Sleek inkpot
> UD Zero eyeliner
> Eyelash curlers
> Dior Show black mascara
> MAC moisturecover in NC35
> Sleek Pout Polish in "electro peach"

I started with the light colours (as always!), putting Meringue on the inner corner of the eyes and Lychee on the browbone. I then used Peach Melba next on the middle of the eyelid, blending well. I added Morello to the outer corners of the eyes, then Cupcake in the crease, up to just below the brow bone, blendingggg all the way, making a wing. On the lower lashline I used Candyfloss, right up to the winged edge.
I then used the Sleek inkpot for the topliner, and UD Zero for the lower waterline. After using MAC concealer under the eyes I finished the eyes with Dior Show mascara.

For the cheeks I was sooo tempted to use my new favourite- Sleek Rose Gold, but I decided to try out the palette.. and it weren't too bad! I used Sleek Electro Peach pout polish for the lips to finish the look... so here's my flamingo look!

 Hope you like!
